I am trying to figure this one out…it’s not normal distribution since all values should gravitate around the mean..which is not the case in the stock market(and related markets). I tried to approximate as well the CDF of Levy distribution…and I might be doing something wrong – but I am getting infinity there…

I am in eighth grade History, and I am writing a paper on how America and the world work with the stock market, and quite frankly, I have no clue. Please help me out. It will be much appreciated. Thank you for your time and effort! My husband and I keep visiting the idea of trying the stock market. We are both educated people, just not in this area. What is the best, and most economical, way to begin? I don’t know if we should find a business in our area that handles this sort of thing, or if we should [...] how can i buy/sell on the stock market? do i necessarily need a stock broker to do it? how does the whole thing work? My knowledge of the stock market is pretty much limited to knowing that the NYSE is actually located in New York. I’d like to expand my knowledge of the market, know where to go to read about trends, and generally…pretty much anything I can. Any books and/or websites that you can recommend? |
